I say he's good, but I have a weakness for the not-entirely-evil-villain-who-could-still-be-good-maybe characters. I say Dumbledore wasn't begging Snape not to 'kill' him, he was asking him to kill him as he has probably asked him to in private before-hand, so that he would appear dead. Dumbledore's too classy for begging. And the curse Snape struck Dumbledore didn't behave like Avada Kedavra- no one ever flies with the force of that curse in my memory. He was asking him to 'kill' him- why? I'm hoping that'll be in the seventh book. I just can't live in a world where Snape is actually evil and Ron has been right all along...

I think he's good too and that there's some dark reason or agreement behind what happened. Although, I don't think that he'll ever be redeemed, I'm sure he's on the good side.

Even though i've grown to hate and dispise Snape i have to agree that i think he's good. He may have once been one of voldemorts faithful servants but i think he's definately changed...even if he doesn't always show it I mean Dumbledores no fool. He wouldn't have hired snape as a proffessor if he wasn't 100% certain he'd changed sides. And the fact that he "supposedly" killed dumbledore, i agree with vagabond. I think it definately may have been pre-planned. Perhaps dumbledore has some huge plot that includes snape having to pretend to have gone back to the dark side. And what better way to prove himself then to kill the man who voldemorts fears the most? Well the most other then harry potter himself that is. And if everyone thinks dumbledore is dead voldemort may not see any sneak attacks coming his way....
