I have a really big exam period next week, so I thought I'd share some of the things that I do to get better marks!
Long Term Tricks.
1. Revise. A study has shown that as time progresses memory fades. Any new material should be revised or summarised within 24 hours.
2. Test. Every now and then, print off your syllabus (available at your Dept. of Education website.) And go through each individual point, identify with any potential weaknesses and address them.
3. Ask. You know what? Teachers love answering questions. Your marks reflect their teaching, so they want you to get better marks than the other classes! So if you don't understand something, instead of copying off a friend (who could be wrong!), or leaving the page blank, raise your hand and ask. You'll be rewarded!
4. Don't be afraid. Ok so your parents aren't exactly rich, but you can afford tutoring. A good tutor will be affordable and approachable. You can make it happen!
